Upgrading is easy. There is no need to re-register and to re-install your license keys. Simply uninstall the previous versions of your Campus Pack applications and install the new versions.
Campus Pack 2.8.x includes over 30 new features and feature enhancements, and over 30 bug fixes. Highlights from Campus Pack 2.8.x include:
- Sharing with Individuals - share Expo LX sites with anyone in or outside of your institution via email invitation
- Sharing with Courses and Organizations - share Expo LX sites with courses and organizations
- File Quotas - set disk space quotas for Expo LX, Teams LX, Journal LX, and Podcast LX
- Expo LX Templates - create custom templates for Expo site components, so Expo end users have the option to create blogs and wikis with pre-populated content and formats
- Embedded Flash MP3 Player - play podcast episodes within the browser, without launching any external software
- Permalinks - create permanent URL links to blogs, wikis, and individual entries or pages within blogs and wikis that exist after being archived
- Enhanced Set-up Options for Blogs and Wikis - improved blog and wiki creation options allow instructors to grant more permissions, comply with privacy laws, and permit the export of sites
The Campus Pack 2.8.21 release in particular is the version of Campus Pack that is compatible with Blackboard 8.0. If you plan on upgrading to Blackboard 8.0, please remember to upgrade to Campus Pack 2.8.21 prior to the Blackboard upgrade.
You can upgrade without having to port over your existing data and without having to re-install license keys or re-register the products.
