Scheduling and Organization
 |
Who: Taylor University
What: Wikis |
Objective: Create an online vehicle for nearly 300 students and a dozen faculty members in 13 class sections to schedule three different rounds of testing.
Process: A wiki was developed through Campus Pack to post and track the scheduling of required fitness pre- and post-tests, as well as a blood test for each student. Students were instructed to find the PHP 100 course online, open the wiki, and enter their names into the desired test date and time slots. The knowledge of the Campus Pack history feature was an added incentive for students to enter the information correctly the first time.
Results: Faculty and students were happy to migrate from the former method of scheduling the tests via a paper-based system tacked to a bulletin board and were especially pleased with the ease of use of the Campus Pack-based system. |
