Blogs and Wikis Across the Campus
 |
Who: Seton Hall University
What: Blogs and Wikis |
Objective: Leverage technology to improve teaching and learning, making it simple for users to construct, communicate, and share information in more productive ways.
Process: Campus Pack was introduced to the campus as part of the University’s technology plan for curricular integration. A series of full-day training events were held for faculty members, who could ask questions and gain hands-on experience using Campus Pack. Faculty and staff quickly saw the benefits of incorporating blogs and wikis into existing online and classroom instruction.
Results: The flexibility of the Campus Pack blogging tool allows it to be used for a variety of objectives, such as reflective writing and furthering classroom discussions. The wiki tool is used to support a variety of group activities, including team lab work, final student project presentations, and collaborative group assignments. The University’s Teaching, Learning, & Technology Center is also using Campus Pack to organize its own inter-departmental meetings and projects.
