Collaboration and Reflection
 |
Who: Framingham State College
What: Wikis |
Objective: Create a collaborative wiki which summarized assigned readings and challenged other students to offer their own interpretation.
Process: Each group was given a selection of classic readings which went beyond the basic content for the course. Students were asked to summarize the readings on via a Campus Pack wiki, then pose questions to engage their fellow classmates. They reflected on each other’s interpretations, and then used the new-found knowledge to enhance the wiki.
Result: Campus Pack allowed students to creatively express themselves both verbally and visually while retaining the content from the readings. Students were excited about the project and learned a lot from each other in working on the wiki. Framingham faculty have begun introducing similar assignments with wikis to undergraduate business classes as well.
